Early sun streaming through the trees of the Ilmpark lend an unearthly lightness to the morning. For most of the day a sleepy, picturesque and rural road, Belvedere Allee gets busy in the morning and evening as commuters head to and from work. Although the village of Ehringsdorf has been almost completely subsumed by Weimar, one small shop remains: the bakery.
