The main theme in my images was to look at "tourist attractions" from a different perspective. into the city in between in dark The continuous paving fabrics cover the city, giving an experience of identifying each corner of the street with different patterns. Stone bricks speak especially in dark and it’s wet skin. fromposted by momo hitsuta
These photos are taken from the flat I live in. Though it's always the same object I see when I step out on our balcony or look through the windows - the backside of Herderkirche - the view is different everyday and offers a "peculiar beauty" each and every day. -> This is quit similar to the post below "at any time". I like the idea of shooting out of your window - it's your personal view and connects the inside with the outside. So this could also be connected to the topic "inside/outside". -> This also reminds me of the famous photographers André Kertesz and Josef Sudek, whose motives used to be the view through their windows. And concerning the topic public / private - inside/outside - reflections (on the membrane in between),
here is a photo that corresponds to the series above, but is somehow special because of the reflections on the window. So we have several 'levels': The inside (private space) shown by these reflections on the window (the membrane), the snow on the other side of the membrane and Herderkirche (public space). |
